- When Scott's parents David and Lynne took him to a local indoor kart circuit as a birthday treat neither of them realised the importance of the occasion or what would be forthcoming from this one simple gesture. Scott was instantly hooked and immediately showed a raw ability in a kart With Scott champing at the bit to take this one day experience further he was taken to the local outdoor circuit near Yeovil to watch an MSA licensed meeting, Scott was now adamant that this was the sport for him. The family then made the necessary investment in the basic kit required and for a while let him practice only with the experienced cadets, once they were happy with his ability they applied for his novice race license and booked his ARKS driving test, this test ensures that a newcomer is of an ability to allow him to race safely.

- The brand new Tour of Britain Web Site is now live, the site promotes the event which starts on the 1st September 2004 and consists of 5 demanding stages to be completed over 5 days with the final Race which finishes in Whitehall, London.
The site give users the opportunity to view up to the minute results from each day's racing as well as overall standings. There is also the chance to take an in depth look at all of the teams competing and their star riders.
Each stage is profiled so users can see exactly where the riders will be each day and approximate times of arrival. The sprints and hill climbs are also made clear on the various stage maps so that fans can position themselves for their favourite parts of the race.
